What it does

psst, this page acts as your light: click πŸŒ‘ to switch it on, πŸ’‘ to open the preset menu.

Light off? One click on

Your light is off... One click, it's on β€” with your last-used settings.

Why you'll keep it

Wakes when your Mac does

Off when your Mac sleeps, back on when you return β€” the wake half is what even Elgato's own app doesn't do.

Day and night on schedule

Bright light until 19:00, chill mode after β€” your presets switch by time of day, on their own.

Set it and forget it

Flip Start At Login in the πŸ’‘ menu and it's in your menu bar from the first boot β€” no Login Items fiddling in System Settings.

Invisible by design

No Dock icon, no companion windows, no dependencies. If it weren't for the πŸ’‘ in your menu bar, you'd forget it exists.

Presets, built in-app

Seven sensible presets ship with it β€” Meet, Work, Bright, Cold, Warm, Night, Chill β€” and a tiny editor for your own. No config files, no terminal.

Always in sync

Change the light from Elgato's app or its physical controls β€” the icon keeps up with the real state, not just its own.

Zero setup

It finds your light by itself; on stubborn networks it scans for it anyway. And it never pretends to control a light it can't reach.

Tiny and private

One Swift file, zero dependencies, and it talks only to your light over your local network. Nothing leaves your house.

The real thing

Everything you just tried, on your Mac: control your light, define and schedule presets, automatic wake-up β€” all in a single menu bar icon.

KeylightBar in the macOS menu bar: the icon switches between πŸŒ‘ and πŸ’‘, one click turns the light on, and clicking while on opens the preset menu with sleep/wake and time-of-day settings
One icon. Two states. Lots of features.
